There are believed to be around 500,000 mobile homes in the UK. Used as holiday accommodation, park homes, temporary accommodation on farms, granny annexes, playrooms and storerooms, they serve a wide variety of purposes. However, as anyone who has lived in a traditional aluminium caravan for any length of time will admit, (we have the t shirt!) they are usually tolerated rather than loved. Currently, the size limit set on a mobile home is 65’ (20m) long X 22’ wide (6.8m) X 10' (3.04m) high at its highest point inside. This size will not include things like dormer windows, overhangs, gutters etc. In order to qualify, your home has to be capable of being transported in no more than two sections. Many of these homes were constructed a long time ago and are now reaching the end of their useful life, both in terms of maintenance and efficiency. If you are thinking of replacing your mobile home, or setting up a new one where permission is available for a new site, Premier Timber Buildings are pleased to be able to offer a very stylish, comfortable and warm alternative. Again, they will be designed to individual needs, by adapting one of our designs or they may be just perfect for you.
Because residential mobile homes are not liable for VAT, a new or replacement mobile home is especially cost effective. Our mobile homes are erected on site in the same way as our other buildings. Please contact us for further information.
